CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Officially we recommend hand washing our silicone dinnerware. However, we understand what life gets like with little ones. Who has time for hand washing, right? Our silicone tableware is top-rack dishwasher safe. You may find that post dishwashing, there is a white powdery residue; this is normal – to combat this, we recommend ‘baking’ your silicone.
Here’s how:
Step 1.
Pre heat your oven up to 160 degrees celsius.
Step 2.
When oven is hot, pop your silicone goods in the oven (yes, they are oven safe!) for 10 minutes.
Step 3.
Remove from oven, and wash in warm soapy water
Step 4.
Dry with tea towel.
We suggest avoiding the use of cleaning products containing essential oils, antibacterial agents or moisturisers to clean your silicone. They all contain greasy components that stick to your silicone and build up over time that may cause a soap like taste.
To combat this, we suggest rubbing fresh lime or lemon on your silicone and letting it sit for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with warm soapy water. White vinegar is another great cleaning product. If this fails to work, baking your silicone and then washing it in a grease cutting soap should do the trick.
